External GPU Retina 27 imac

i'm thinking of buying new 27 imac. i'm going i7, 256 ssd, 24gb of ram , amd radeon r9 m395 2gb video memory.

i'm going using editing , gaming. noticed there's not big difference between m395 , m395x, 10-15% gap, performance wise.

came across site : https://bizon-tech.com/us/bizonbox2-egpu.html/

offers external gpu boasts 9x boost in performance.

it's bit expensive, think it'll work better in long run, mean it's better paying top bucks m395x , outpaced 2 years later.

guys think?

has had experience external gpu , if so, worth it?

thanks sharing video. made pretty easy... @ least, using windows. seems bit weird os x allows external graphics chip drive own display.

it's worth, intel has been marketing external graphics solutions feature of thunderbolt 3 (which no mac sold with). i'm not sure if there's change protocol or if speed boost high enough graphics chips able work @ 100%... clearly, external graphics have been used thunderbolt , thunderbolt 2 already. wonder if thunderbolt 3 cause apple offer better support it.
