if turn off stream happen? photos still backed icloud , save space on iphone? not want lose anything.
 

regular photo stream:

  • does not use icloud storage allotment
  • compatible across devices including iphone, ipad, mac, , pc
  • stores web-optimized versions of photos, may degrade quality
  • does not upload , sync videos
  • you can still sync photos , albums mac or pc via itunes when photo stream enabled
icloud photo library:

  • stores all photos , personal video , has no limits long have icloud storage space support it
  • uses icloud storage allotment
  • accessible on iphone, ipad, mac, , online via icloud.com
  • stores full-resolution photos on server , on devices , supports many file formats including jpg, raw, png, gif, tiff, , others
  • uploads , syncs videos photos
  • you can not sync albums , photos mac or pc via itunes when using icloud photo library, , existing albums removed when enable service
