Old thermal paste syringe


hi,

got old apple-original motherboard replacement. comes (sealed) thermal paste syringe (chinese provided apple). made 10 years ago. use it? asked guy in local pc shop , said it's sealed, it's ok use no matter how old is. googled , found diversity of opinions old thermal paste. do?
 

personally sake of few € or $ or £ or whatever currency use i'd grab new one.
