Dedicated TM disks for different files?

i'm posting confirm believe unfortunately true, thats not possible backup selected files or folders (or disks) "dedicated" or specific tm disks ?

eg i'd folders a,b, c protected on tm disk a, , folders x,y,z protected on second tm disk b.

right in thinking cannot done?

if so, assuming have a,b, c protected on tm disk a, whats best plan routine backup once day copies 1 specific volume one?
ive bought 2 disks, 1 hold new files, 1 files , whilst tm overkill files change , added seemed simple solution.

you time machine, think inconvenient. first problem have change (long?) lists of exclusions (those folders don't want backed up) each time switch 1 disk other, unless know how create sort of automator action (i don't), assuming automator actions work time machine. second, several gigabytes of same invisible system files on both drives, because there appears no easy way exclude invisible files , folders.

on years, off , on, have used still-free (or donation-ware) app called backuplist+ (now @ v8.5.2 el capitan). allows multiple backup sets, containing whatever series of folders want in each set. can set incremental backups of predesignated amounts (no more 4 sessions' worth of incremental backups; no more 30 sessions' worth, etc.), or can set single, non-incremental backup (synchronized folders). interface arcane, used quickly. click "gear-wheel" button @ bottom of backuplist+ window see advanced options.

in no way associated people produce backuplist+.
