Garmin GPS ISsue


i've got garmin nuvi 1490. i'm out on trip having flown washington dc. before left, updated gamin latest lower 48 states map, , seemed well, i'm here, i've discovered not display secondary roads, major highways, catastrophe!! when turn off highway, displays "off road" message. somehow, discovered micro sd card (aux memory) not seated right. reseated it, restarted gps makes no difference in showing major highways. when check map versions, shows version, not error.

i'm mulling on hard reset, going wait until tomorrow , see garmin tech support has say. if wipe maps, creek...as don't have laptop me, have 0 ability download new map.

familiar situation? :-/
 

no clue garmin, have smart phone use navigation?
