i think there's advantages staying know.

think that, if concerned security issues, upgrading 1 way keep mac more secure.
or, may have opportunity new apps require upgrade.
el capitan has distinctly different appearance , feel, happen like.

suggestion: external drive, preferably ssd/external case supports uasp. install yosemite or el cap on external. migrate software files external. try out yourself. better idea hoping random opinions here. know opinions :d
