14GB unmatched RAM in iMac. Should I?

hello,

run 2011 imac 12gb of ram, configuration 2x4gb in lower slots , 2x2gb in upper. have 4gb stick lying around salvaged computer fit in there, making 2x4, , 1 2gb , 1 4gb grand total of 14gb. 2 , 4 wouldn't matched pairs assume lose dual channel support in @ least on of slot pairs, or maybe both?

current configuration preferable 1 i'm thinking of? theres no pressing need it, thought if doesn't have impact why not put 1 in there.

thanks.

i doubt you'll notice difference 1 way or other if like.
