Carrier T-Mobile redid their coverage map

before viewing map, prompted device using. if select device band 12 in other words supports "extended range lte", given map includes extended range lte (700 mhz). if select device not have band 12, shows regular map without "extended range lte".

think great because won't mislead people coverage. example if has iphone 6 lacks band 12, coverage worse presented on map. map still isn't no matter it's see making efforts not mislead people.

moved away map showing 2g, 3g, 4g, , lte. says "4g lte - excellent signal", "4g lte - signal", "4g lte - fair signal", , "talk, text & non-lte data". in varying shades of magenta, stripe pattern on non-lte. think excellent/good/fair lte can't agree "non-lte" label, include 2g, 3g, , 4g. 4g hell of lot better 2g, it's know may (or may not be) getting.

edit: once tap on "non-lte" areas, clarifies if 2g, 3g, etc. redid notes go along lte areas, clarifying fair, good, or excellent means in terms of indoor , outdoor coverage, big buildings, etc.

i tried out new map , it's interesting see areas go not covered or roaming covered on band 12.

coverage still kind of mediocre overall, t-mobile making progress. need more competition keep heat on at&t , verizon.
