Tips for New York trip

so traveling new york in beginning of february gf. staying in center of times square , vacation going week long. have been chicago , love seeing , experiencing states , people. have looked @ tourist information , plan see common things have see while visiting new york first time. other hear insiders tips if has any. places or things interesting check out might not show on trip advicer ect.

restaurants not overly expensive in area close madison square garden? , can expect weather @ time?

 

i'm in times square area many times week. staying in 1 of expensive areas. restaurants there expensive because rents expensive well. head further west towards 8th , 9th aves there many fine restaurants locals go to, more reasonably priced. should consider walking thru upper west side, 60s on up, along columbus ave , broadway, around mid 90s. great food, nice restaurants , vibe great.

think best places visit listed on many websites. there no secret buildings or places that, make tourist visit. check out planetarium, museum of natural history, metropolitan museum of art, empire state building, take ferry see statue of liberty, go game @ madison square garden, check out area around lower manhattan world trade center buildings along new building , memorials, major shopping , window shopping along 5th avenue.

weather crapshoot. cold in february, or cold. big snow once in while, not new england states get.

have fun here. while live on nj side of river now, love working , being in city possible.
