How do I disable the trackpad


scenario air seems have lost ability select or click. can move pointer, can 2 finger "right" click. have managed navigate arrow keys , mixture of tab , option can't click! borrowed usb mouse no difference. did pram , other multi finger reset no avail. i'm thinking has failed or got in such trackpad sending permanent press/click. smart folks have terminal command can try keep me going?
 

to disable trackpad while have external mouse connected, you can dig accessibility page of system preference.

while don't know how solve problem, same in accesibility page, have mouse key, can let keyboard control mouse cursor move, , click example.
