2011 Macbook pro RAM in new iMac 2015?


my old macbook has stopped working , i'm think of using of it's part before throwing it. i've ordered new imac 27" 8gb ram. can use ram laptop? can use ssd external drive via usb sata connector?
 

no, old ram ddr3 , new macs have used ddr3l time. can check - old stuff 1.5v, new stuff 1.35v. not cross compatible. if ssd removable , 2.5" drive, yes can reuse in enclosure on usb 3
