Quick User Switching Requiring Password


i've discovered advantages of setting multiple user accounts different areas work in (one dedicated audio production, etc). makes easier quick user switching feature. problem preferences set automatic login, i'm prompted password each time try , switch over. kind of defeats purpose of quick user switching.

there work-around this? can switch seamlessly if set system password nothing, that's not idea , causes other complications (i.e: logmein won't access computer outside without password, , won't accept blank field option).

just curious: what's benefit of separate accounts? example, find that, audio production, want other apps closed (so ram, , processor, focused on audio work). fast user switching, left open in account still open...just consider...
