Suggestion: Distraction Free Front Page (ignored tags)

given used editor here during more formative days of site, know struggle editorial staff go through when there abundance of news particular topic. happens lot when there lot of iphone or ipad news - start getting people asking "wait - thought macrumors? give me news mac!" blah blah blah. can't please everyone, there news share , duty inform. in end, line has ended being "hey - we're here deliver news. feel free skip on stories don't like."

line worked me on technical stuff , occasional prsi-related article on front page until recently, have had post after post regarding saga of apple's legal fight government. volume of posts per day dedicated topic fair given magnitude of issue, whole topic quite irritating me. but, instead of whining it, i'm going suggest solution.

suggestion: "distraction free front page"
i'd propose "distraction free front page" - front page can selectively "ignore" post tags. suck @ making mock-ups, imagine attached done more skill ;) gather, wouldn't terribly difficult implement, wouldn't hurt site revenue, , solve long-standing whining content, make experience bit more customizable long staff job tagging stories consistently, should anyways standpoint of users being able use "roundups" efficiently.

so, there's feedback. by default 2016-02-18 @ 10.42.58 pm.png

we consider doing this, won't @ top of list right away. people complain when there's of 1 story. these short lived , pretty we'll have people complaining iphone 7 rumors.

and, let's block privacy , encryption... , 2 months down line, there's major security issue mac/ios exposes data... still want blocked?

said, working on else might little -- might let opt topics want follow closer -- it's not ready yet.
