How to Use Split View in OS X El Capitan

recent release of os x el capitan, mac users can take advantage of full-screen apps in split screen view. is, compatible app zoom take entire half of screen , can same second one, giving 2 apps side-by-side in full-screen mode.

while basics of split view simple, there few aspects might want familiar make productive use of feature.

activate split view, click , hold on green expand button in upper left corner of compatible app's window.

while holding down button, 1 side of screen shaded in blue. release button , app automatically format fit half of screen.

@ same time, compatible apps open automatically shift opposite side of screen. apps not compatible shrink down lower right corner of screen. if try access them, receive notification app isn't available in split view mode.
