Can the Apple Lightning Dock damage my iPhone?


hi. bought apple's silver iphone lightning dock other day , i'm enjoying looks , functionality, i'm worrying keeping iphone in upright position extensive periods of time might damage on time.

keep iphone in dock of time when i'm home. example, iphone sits in dock night when charge or using alarm clock, , several hours during day listening music or answering phone calls while i'm working @ desk. i don't mean charge time, when battery full switch off power of multiple socket dock's connected doesn't overcharge; still prefer not remove dock , leave upright instead of lying flat on desk, because don't want connect , disconnect speakers every time move phone dock, , find easier reach music controls/possible phone calls. plus looks nicer.

think keeping iphone upright in dock (but not charging time!) 15+ hours every day might damage on time? think that, due position , weight of phone, lightning port or others connectors/internal components damaged staying upright in dock of day? have direct experience on matter, can assure there won't damages because they've been sitting current/previous phone in dock long periods of time , nothing bad happened? help.
 

i don't think so. apple designed dock people can charge phones long want. sure many leave phones charge on night.
