Windows 10 on 2009 Macbook Air

i finished installing windows 10 on 2009 macbook air - 1.86ghz, core 2 duo, 2gb ram, fitted long time ago after market 60gb owc ssd.

when yosemite still on there - , running dog might add - booted in recovery partition , formatted yosemite partition. not bootcamp install - had burn windows 10 iso dvd drive , install windows 10 usb superdrive. windows 10 installer let me re format main partition, os x recovery partition still there if wish go back.

installing windows 10 took quite while, , post install pretty sluggish, plus fan going mad. after time settled right down.

tried various flavours of bootcamp, of apple had helpfully crippled in installer , wouldn't install no reason. though bootcamp 4 drivers installed when run in compatibility mode.

on apple front, none of keys changing screen, volume or keyboard backlight work. trackpad, wireless, bluetooth working - although bluetooth cannot disabled or cant find out how :) screen brightness can adjusted via nvidia control panel. battery life 2-2.5 hours 6+ year old machine , been around bit!

there 1 'coprocessor' device listed in windows device manager having no driver, pointed windows driver update tool @ bootcamp folder , fixed itself.

windows 10 runs absolute champ. way snappier yosemite on geriatric machine, long accept fixed 2gb of memory going limiting factor, , fans spin , down sometimes.

windows 10 , ms office 2016b installed, plus few other bits, there's 34gb of free space on ssd.

overall though i'm impressed how windows 10 performs, no means sluggish @ all!
