iMac G5 20" with loud fan like noise...


hello everyone,

i've aquired imac g5 20" unit powerpc processor bunch of months ago. sat in home office on floor told it's dead , plans take @ it.

of friend last night, turned on , surprise...it works!

problem though? unit sounds has bad fan in there somewhere.

before begin, have done capacitor reset (power off/hold power button, etc...) , has not helped.

unable locate sound sounds it's coming right side of pc, not sure on that.

did best record short clip of noise in hopes has heard before , can give me idea on for.

doing bit of googling around, did see of these units had power supply issues. 1 seems fine , don't think noise psu.

listen here if can , i'd appreciate feedback.

you'll definately gonna have open , clean dust, these imacs tend ridiculously hot , of time damage stuff screen , motherboard.

open , change cpu's thermal paste, can buy @ local computer shop.
