Resolved Finder Icon missing in dock?


hi there.

macbook crashed today suddenly, , when came on dock icons missing, able them removing , re-adding dock finder icon know can't removed , re-added. i've restarted , did disk repair , tried changing icon, can't seem able anymore must thing of past.

have no idea do, i've searched , forum posts happening yosemite have yet find working solution , posting last resort.

in advance can help!

run in terminal:

defaults delete com.apple.dock
killall dock

restart if looks nothing happened.

when create new user account , login one, have correct icon?

can't change finder icon manually anymore, protected in el capitan. you'd have disable sip first rebooting recovery (command + r) , typing 'csrutil disable' without quotes terminal.
