SSD M.2 , Pcie????

i apologize reanimating solitary question non-thread drew curiosity when showed in similar threads morning. impressed because op included great pictures of imac. must have been distracted shiny new toys december because ruloes never got answer simple query.

in case else interested in issue reappeared in mac mini forum today, here response.

whenever have similar question start checking original apple specifications and/or everymac website. http://www.everymac.com/systems/app...i-core-2-duo-2.53-late-2009-server-specs.html

everymac said 2012 i7 imac:

seems better stick original sata or pcie interface since attempts increase performance m.2 devices thwarted host computer interface regardless of adapter hardware. also, because of presence of proprietary apple connectors on storage items, might best contact vendor owc before purchasing ssd products or interface hardware. :apple:
