PS Making Loud Noise at times


just wondering if has thoughts on this.
power supply starts make loud noise @ high frequencies (or buzzing) when playing couple games (elite dangerous & homeworld remastered on osx,world of tanks on boot camp). have played around graphic settings comes , goes, frequent now. thought might fan using smcfancontrol , manually boosting fan doesn't seem make happen.
unit specs are:
2.93 ghz qc xeon
16 gb ram (owc)
samsung 512gb evo ssd
1tb wd raptor
500 gb wd raptor
250 gb kingston hyper x 3k ssd
evga gtx 680 gpu
did have gpu fail on me ,which made previous 4.1 mac pro die well, thoughts maybe triggering in ps video card. istats menu shows power supply going on 12v times don't know if normal or tempature indicate issue internally.
