Does Fetch/Push affect only email or all iCloud functions?

i have icloud , gmail set push. notified native mail app listed 1 of battery intensive apps due "background activity." i've switched gmail app notifications , dropped gmail account fetch in native app.

however, don't need icloud emails instantly (which still lags) going drop icloud down fetch, here's question: fetch affect email or affect how notes, reminders, etc updated.

still want notes, reminders, reading list, etc updated instantly. if use fetch setting mean icloud data updated in increments? affect how third party apps can update?

thanks.
