Printing to non-AirPrint printer via Aiport Express


i use airport express(aiex) , non-airprint printer(usb only,not in list) connected it.i able print printer mbp , imac, ipad doesn't recognise printer @ all.
why so?as see it, aiex printing here,not computers.when prints going through aiex,it means aiex giving appropriate print command printer.then ipad should able send document router , aiex should able print it.
why doesn't happen?
 

i'm afraid that's not how works.

laptop doing printing, airport routes information printer. can install app on ipad , laptop can print via app - use readdle's printer pro. other options available.

other option buy airprint enabled printer.
