microsoft tonight announced making changes onedrive cloud storage services, reducing amount of storage both office 365 , free users granted , eliminating unlimited option. company says changes needed "ensure can continue deliver collaborative, connected , intelligent service."

office 365 home, personal , university subscribers no longer have access unlimited storage. instead, these users limited 1 tb of storage. 100 gb , 200 gb plans being eliminated new users , replaced 50 gb plan $1.99 month, launch in 2016. free onedrive users see storage decreased 15 gb 5 gb, 15 gb camera roll storage bonus being eliminated. these changes roll out in 2016.

microsoft says wants make transition users easy possible, outlining steps taking notify users of change. office 365 subscribers have more 1 tb of storage notified , allowed keep increased storage 12 months. office 365 customers no longer desire service because of change given pro-rated refund. free users have used more 5 gb of storage have access files 12 months after changes go effect in 2016 , receive free one-year subscription office 365. individual onedrive subscribers 100 gb , 200 gb plans not affected.
