New Install Lag


i bought mbpr 13 couple weeks ago , running yosemite on it. upgraded el capitan , things smooth silk. yesterday did fresh install after creating usb boot disk , things seem not smooth were. installed os while on battery power, have it? stutter because it's still fresh install? insight helpful.
