Google Shifts Chrome for iOS to Apple’s WKWebView, Reducing Crashes by 70%

google today introduced few stability , performance improvements chrome ios app, centering around company's switch in-process rendering uiwebview out-of-process rendering wkwebview. tests google proved new update reduces app's crash rate 70 percent, letting users pick left off on page device without crash causing issues.

web, google created new extension called "data saver," allow chrome users ability manage data usage while outside of home wi-fi. similar in function extension available android devices, data saver reduces data needed access web of company's "compression technology." extension lets users see how data saved , highlight websites using while out of house.
