iMac Worth Repairing?


hello folks.

work in mac lab , 1 of our older 27in imacs bit dust few months back. not sure of exact year, it's intel imac , still has disc drive.

@ first thought may graphics card, guys took , there appeared corrosion on logic board. being it's imac in computer lab...not sure how possible, anyway...

powers on, shows gray screen vertical green lines. in process of trying repair it, 1 of guys accidentally cracked glass display.

need new disc drive 1 of previous staffers broke (don't ask).

i'm typing this, sounds me attempting repair (or taking apple idea on cost) more trouble it's worth.

i've been given machine wanted make sure wasn't salvageable before recycle it.
 

well, it's @ least 2009 imac. that's when started making 27". find out, number on bottom of stand. the glass cost around $139. usd on amazon. hard drives cheap. although, corrosion on logic board bad sign. have been spilled imac above?

i'd test connecting external drive os through usb or firewire. if doesn't work, or looks needs more hard drive or front glass, i'd recycle it.

Help please Strange logs
