Viewsonic vx2270Smh


hi all. bought new 22" viewsonic vx2270smh monitor use 13" mbpr. i'm using hdmi connect macbook. have following questions incase can assist me:
- feel picture isn't crisp macbook's picture, thing ips monitors or mac thing?
- know if there version if audio software comes monitor (srs premium sound) mac, or allows me control device's audio settings?

if want control monitor sound volume via mac use audio cable came withe monitor connect mbp audio port monitor audio in port (page 6 of viewsonic user manual, http://www.viewsonic.com/assets/146/27314.pdf). change setting on monitor menu audio in (see page 10 of viewsonic user manual). change sound output of mbp sound preference. can control volume mbp.
