Filling the driver-gap for legacy hardware

last week came across pair of old travelscanpro-scanners used in office decade ago.
tried hook them ibookg4 there haven't been drivers provided macs @ time.
few weeks ago purchased copy of windows2000pro installed virtualpc7. compared winxppro virtual win2k run smooth , integrates nice environment of ibook running leopard. connected travelscan scanner virtualpc , win2k , happy see, scanner detected plug&play device , installation of drivers accepted without hassle.
if there more modern , faster technologies send pages else (just taking picture , send via email else take seconds....) workaround makes ibook pretty nice fax-machine sent fax group of people have time time.
i'm able scan irfanview within virtual win2k, make printout pdf directly saved onto mac's desktop. here pdf can send pagesender selection of recepients can choosen mac's addressbook.

:apple: happy new year everyone!:)
