Ipad air connected to wifi but won't connect to the internet


i have ipad air date os. ipad displaying wifi icon , @ full strength receive following message "safari not open page because server stopped responding". have "forgotten" wifi network , re added it. have restarted ipad. restarted wireless router still receive same message. make matters more confusing. wife's ipad can connect internet can both our phones via wifi. suggestions appreciated.
