Securing a New VPN Server


i have had mac os x server running home server few months now, , pleased how working. have 4 users on server, , set vpn service today. vpn service first, , only, internet-accessible service enabled on server. there security steps need take because have service open internet other usual/simple stuff (keeping passwords secure, etc.)? thanks!
