MBP crashes hard, frequently, when loading YouTube files on Reddit, and some other places. Need help

2012 mbp, yosemite 10.10.5, firefox 41.0.1 (latest).

15% of time when click on youtube video in reddit, either firefox crashes, or entire computer restarts, 50/50 1 occur.

started happening on 10/6, , think coincided updating firefox, perhaps. have reset firefox, removed every plug-in , extension, , deleted prefs.js. repaired permissions on hd. deleted flash computer. removed firefox app applications , re-downloaded it. don't know else do!

have no oddball startup items launching.

last night, went recovery mode, , reinstalled yosemite. did not "remove" yosemite before or that. before did, repaired disk (no problems) , repaired permissions (just couple didn't seem related).

i @ wit's end. can me, or point me in right direction?

 

does still crash if use safari? seems firefox , not yosemite issue tbh - have tried restoring firefox backup prior update?
