Keeping space down while using the photos app


i have 60gb of photos have stored in pictures folder, there photos library file large (about same size).

there easy way free space? wouldn't want have duplicate photos, or duplicate storage each photo, still want them organized folder (like, photos>iphone>iphone6plus>november2015disneyworldtrip>12novmagickingdom)
 

if had "copy items photos library" option ticked in photos preferences>general, when imported photos photos, can delete photos in pictures folder.
