30" ACD Stand/Spring Broke


yesterday beloved 30" apple cinema display slouched on , no longer holds tilt. tore today , took spring assembly out of stand couldn't find wrong. expected spring sheared or something. i've got towel lodged in there tilt display bit can still use it. ideas on how fix this? haven't found of discussion on couple of searches.
