Log off/Restart while playing iTunes?

system:
2013 15" rmbp running yosemite , latest itunes.
2 week old transcend jet drive 480gb ssd. installed fresh install of yosemite , migrated settings original ssd.

scenario:
playing christmas music playlist using itunes multiple airport express units connected several speakers, several hours.

concern:
after 1 3 hours, not sure exactly, of music playing music stop. when checked laptop user log on screen displayed indicating laptop had shut off , restarted or logged off , logged on.
happened once on battery power , once on ac power.

caused by:
power saver settings? didn't think laptop go sleep app actively doing itunes playing music. settings screen off @ 15 min , sleep mode after 1 hr, maybe 2.

itunes glitch? use itunes lot longest single sessions in long time.

other glitch not associated itunes or power saver settings? had safari, mail , maybe few other apps running @ same time.

i've been using rmbp morning, 5 hrs total, without closing lid or letting sit more 10 minutes @ time when taking short breaks.

ideas, should been concerned or sleep mode override itunes playing music?

thanks
ward

ps: found thread pointed me preferences/security & privacy/ advanced , saw set system log off after 60 minutes of inactivity. maybe itunes playing music not considered activity? thread starter reported solved problem changed log off time 240 minutes , give try.

pss: think it. itunes played 4 hours, clicked touch pad , continued playing 2 hours.
