How does the Microsoft Surface 3 compare to my Late 2008 Macbook?


i picked surface rt 1 , surface rt 2. love form factor aren't anywhere near fast late 2008 macbook. specs of macbook 2.4ghz, 8gb ram 480gb ssd. don't want buy tablet , notebook , love form factor of surface. biggest complaint of macbook how long takes wake sleep. , still hate photos app. how able organize in iphoto album. no sorta unorganized everywhere. in iphoto able create event , drag , drop there , have appear way on iphone. surface 3 replace late 2008 macbook or should want next revision surface 4 non pro come out? thanks!
 

i'm going considerably slower in respects. surface 3 uses low power atom cpu , slow ssd. it's decent tablet , light laptop note-taking , light writing, etc. it's not laptop replacement people.
