Built-in vs. Custom Wallpapers


i've noticed built-in wallpapers not resize on 6s+ when home screen rotates landscape mode. when select other photo wallpaper, zooms way in landscape mode. there way create own background image won't resize when rotating? see pictures below... first 2 screen caps used built-in wallpaper (ios 9.1), , last 2 used own custom wallpaper found on internet.

make sure wallpaper 2662x2662 when rotate fit remains same. stock wallpapers rectangular in view in background square.
