Verizon iPhone 6 - Sprint

i'm sure there's thread related on here somewhere, tried search, many results came up, decided lazy.. shoot me.

have brand new 16gb iphone 6 going give family member has sprint. i've read conflicting information, gotten conflicting information sprint, far whether or not device work on network.

cs tells me need sim. sprint's "chat" customer care says sprint need load imei of verizon iphone system (and don't know whom need speak done), , sprint's "twitter" support says work 0 problems, downside won't access "spark network".

ultimately, i'm trying see if in fact possible or not, if it's not, no big deal, if remote chance (sprints byod page states verizon's iphone 5c can used on network, i'd assume 6 can too?), it'd nice know before waste time going store sim.

hate sprint, i'm trying family member out , if phone work them, awesome, if not i'll flip , myself cash.

if can me out, or direct me can more solid information, i'd appreciate it.

thanks.

some things…

1. if family member has nano-sim can use that.
2. may not bands sprint uses, lte.
3. reps correct in imei needs entered.

if family member has sim can make easy way around. login family member's sprint account. somewhere on over right should link activate phone. click on that. select previous phone. enter imei of new phone , click radio button says use serial number of current sim. site might give additional instructions such when swap sim , powering on/off phones.

done. have done esn swap. old phone inactive.

if family member need new sim though go , 1 sprint store or have customer service send new one. inside sprint account, activate new line, enter imei of new phone , serial number of new sim, activate.

p.s. reason know @ about month ago got replacement phone when still on sprint. apple dropped ball on activation , had go damn thing activated myself. hate dealing sprint customer service on phone did simple esn swap on laptop while sitting @ starbucks kids.
