Network Connection Idle Time Out

hi, 2012 imac connected corp domain via ethernet cable. screen sharing configured , has been in use remote connections outside building ~3 years. in recent months, issue has arisen network connection on imac either lost or automatically powered down after amount of idle time. when user logs in @ imac in morning, network not connected, connects after login.

behavior new of past few months, , makes screen sharing remote connections useless, imac not connected , available screen sharing sessions.

suspect came update may have made changes way energy saver settings handle network connection. perhaps update yosemite el capitan, or perhaps update around time.

how 1 enable network connection remain on , connected full time?

thanks!

in energy saver prefs uncheck top checkboxes , check bottom two. see attached screenshot screen shot 2016-01-18 @ 11.32.33 am.jpg screen shot 2016-01-18 @ 11.32.33 am.jpg
