Help: is my Macbook dead?


hi guys,

know there's similar threads since situation kinda specific , im getting confused, please bear me.

have macbook 5,5 (mid 2009), months ago magsafe pretty desintegrated , bought new one. battery started giving "replace now" warning since year ago, more or less. know should have bought new one, kept postponing since wanted myself , replace hard drive , couple more things. so, i've been dying battery time , yesterday mbp went off , wouldnt turn on again. no led sign on magsafe either. mean?

1. magsafe defective. how know this? dont have testing atm.

2. in mbp died. battery? hard drive? did overheat? how know this? open it? if so, should for?

3. what's worst case scenario? @ point not worth replacing things (battery, hard drive, etc)?

sorry many questions confused , pretty in panic, so, if you'd kind, please help.

1. can try borrow friends / family magsafe test

2. if harddrive dead, if press power button still boot , play mac sound , failed load os, if press power button , nothing happens not hd

3. worst things logic board dead / fried, , have shell out around 200-300 usd buy new one. depend on are.
