Weird Watch app behavior, this can't be how it works right?


so got apple watch , think it's ok far have had weird annoyances attributing bug wanted check here make sure not bizarre expected behavior....

many apple watch apps , glances unable load data/show info unless iphone app running in background. @ first thought had logging in iphone app turns out that's not it...examples:

- fidelity : have glance portfolio , app on watch. when try view glance or app complains can't load portfolio. if start fidelity app on iphone , hit home button (so launch , close) watch app/glance starts working again , work until i'm guessing fidelity app on phone killed. makes apple watch app useless because have go phone launch app what's point of watch?

- discover: same behavior fidelity. launching discover app on iphone make watch app/glance start working. again after time watch app stop working until relaunch iphone app

- starbucks: stopped working , showing rewards unless same activity

- capitalone - 1 gave on because watch glance/app work if launched , logged iphone app. ridiculous

don't have many others seems common theme. normal (hopefully not) or sort of bug? else experience this? these apps?

i'm on latest os on both iphone 6s , apple watch
 

i've noticed "words friends" app.

view opponents latest word on aw i'd have open app on phone update aw.

had same issue dark sky in glances rectified in latest update developer.
