How to handle 2 iPads with same content


googled not find info question have: company gave me ipad pro had ipad air 2 lot of documents in it. i'm restore ipad pro old ipad air 2 backup work in progress , settings i'm accustomed come bak new ipad.
want keep air 2 is, can change job anytime... use itunes restore original content. cause problems? of today, 2 ipads identical after restore backup. happen when next time these 2 identical ipads connect itunes automatic backup? works in progess , documents clash? many thanks...
 

is there stopping storing documents in cloud service dropbox, keeping them in sync via document provider app such documents?
