Dropping Virgin Media TV for Apple TV in UK


hi all. long time since posted on site / forum!

have virgin media big bang plus sky movies @ moment. gives basic tv channels (and movies), land line, , 100 mbps broadband.

plan drop tv part keep virgin 100 mbps broadband , land line. replace tivo , tv service apple tv.
  1. i presume doing can watch freeview via app (is called tv guide?), add sky movies and/or sport via nowtv app when choose to, plus netflix , iplayer well.
  2. i guess doing losing ability record program off of freeview, losing ability pause freeview tv?
just wanted run past uk users before buy apple tv.

the app you're wanting called tv player. contains 5 terrestrial channels.

tv entertainment/movie pass (ebay best bet) sorts out sky needs. movies 720p though not greatest of quality.

iplayer isn't available yet apple tv.

should able pause you're watching other streaming app.
