iCloud Account Storage Device Backup Space Issues


i have multiple devices using 5gb free icloud option documents , game save syncing. have no backups ios devices backed icloud, yet account says 2.29gb used device backups. have been settings app on both iphone , ipad, no backups. have been through preferences on macbook, (this should show backups) shows none. i'm using 400mb documents etc , seems ok that.

i've looked @ icloud.com using browser on mac , confirms 2.29gb used device backups (shown yellow line , named backup), can see backup of.
 

in settings-icloud-storage-manage storage have no backups showing in backups area? if have associated device name.

on side note, why not doing backups? doing them manual on itunes?
