iOS/OSX photos on iPhone


hi there

quick question - on macbook air photo app states have 9gb of pictures, yet on synced iphone (with same number of pictures) circa 3.5-4gb - itunes reduce size of photos in way , there setting this?
 

are using icloud photos library? if so, setting in settings - icloud - photos. keep original vs optimize. if select optimize keep optimized photo device 1334x750 vs full image. optimize setting when sharing photos send full optimized photo cloud.
