Barclays Planning to Launch Apple Pay Support in UK in Early 2016

apple pay launched in united kingdom in july @ more 250,000 locations across england, scotland, wales , northern ireland, barclays remains notably absent group of banks supporting mobile payments service.

nevertheless, barclays remains committed supporting apple pay in future. barclays ceo of personal , corporate banking ashok vaswani today told customer mike jobson by email bank plans roll out apple pay in 2016.
a high-level executive @ barclays stated bank anticipated "imminent" support of apple pay, , bank later publicly confirmed support apple pay in "future," no specific launch timeframe had been provided.

barclays major financial institution of "big four" banks in u.k. has yet adopt apple pay. participating banks include bank of scotland, first direct, halifax, hsbc, lloyds bank, m&s bank, mbna, nationwide, natwest, royal bank of scotland, santander , ulster bank.
