The right investment for my needs!


for first time i'd go imac 27 "purchases, because involve expensive investment, must aligned correctly.

what do imac 27 "?
intention imac light photo-editing (ligthroom) , light video-editing imovie, further converting en encoding many audio , video files (mkv). multitask, else normal usage.

how long wish use imac?
hope investment , 4-5 more years have fun.

much or little storage space?
data externally nas backup safely stored!
wish no mechanical drive , have ssd; how big exactlythis need continue years able estimate forme difficult.

currently, working year mac mini i7 2.3ghz 16gb ram + ssd256gb.

suits me fine everyday tasks, when output tasks such rendering video files bd files mkv , many audio files flac mp3 or alac slow me. when converting various raw photos, of mac mini requested.

because have imac replace mac mini coming of years have bit faster.


27-inch imac retina display 5k
processor: 5i , 7i ???
memory: 8gb, later expanded more.
ssd: 256gb or 512gb ???
graphics: ???
magic mouse 2 + numeric wired keyboard.
 

since don't need imac do, i'd buy least expensive 27" 256gb flash drive option. never fill 256gb drive software before replace machine.
