approach & toolkit prototype, develop & deploy custom ios app personal use?

context & purpose:
have had quite many injuries/ accidents , rehab has not been great due location & extensive travel. in order pull things using custom ios app.

app product & features:
trying develop custom app myself have following:

  • a list/ array or database of exercises - specific workouts & rehab have been gathered various programs , sources & physiotherapist
  • i'd want able up/ down shift
    • between easier & more difficult exercise variations
    • more & less sets/ reps
  • log dates & timestamps 'data' of exercise, variation, sets & reps performed @ time, tracking/ history
    • best logged in format that's easy export, analyze, graph using other apps/ or excel on pc
  • play 'related' video file when needed if can't remember exact 'form' of exercise
    • assume ios compliant media format
    • stored locally on ios device in 'file share'
    • name of file mapped exercises in list/ array or db
i read of below mentioned links, open suggestions:

  • should maybe version of dev tools , prototype / wire frame things , play ios api capabilities first?
    • which toolkit & apis recommend @ start?

it sounds want develop own app. it's not easy offer meaningful advice without knowing skills are.

have programmed before, languages, etc...

personal app, it's hard justify time needed develop app. have looked @ of apps out there allow customize them? can of apps out there made work if change requirements?

option buy source code app , have customized, or paying modify template code.
