Did I screw up or is it something else? (keyboard light issue)

last summer broke macbook pro 15" 2012 display , decided replace myself. followed ifix guide , working fine. thought. went use skype few days ago , said webcam not connected though cable plugged , backlight on keyboard working fine, bale use f5 , f6 lower or brighten no problem.

today decided try reseting cable in slot thinking maybe wasn't plugged in way. took of bottom, pulled out plug , plugged it, didn't seem in way grabbed flat head screw driver , applied slight (barely anything) amount of pressure each side of wire make sure in way on both sides. ****ed because slot plug goes sits on logic board popped off way easily.

1) resolder connector on mother board or use type of super glue or without needing professional , getting raped charges? (anything should know or careful of if go route?)

thought mean can't use webcam, never used damn thing in 3 years i've had computer. ignored it, put together, turned on , seemed work fine until few hours later, aka now, when realized backlight on keyboard not working. know not end of world still frustrating.

did research, found out cable used light sensor, again no big deal because manually adjust both screen brightness , keyboard brightness. made sure option in settings light sensor adjust brightness of keyboard off. still no change. both buttons work , can control brightness of screen no problem.

tried smc , nvram reset, standard reset, , other simple solutions others have tried.

did screw myself on or easy fix can myself? have need solder but not precision soldering iron, can still or no?

help.
