T-mobile pre-paid with Apple Upgrade Program Launch Day

has been able new iphone 6s/6s plus on aup t-mobile prepaid in store? if explain process or should know before hand?

have been reading mixed reviews regarding prepaid customers getting turned away because not work prepaid post paid accounts. want know if true can prepare pay device upfront.

i'll repost post "iphone upgrade plan causing headaches" thread here if helps...
i'd recommend ready pay upfront, knows, maybe lucky...

so, t-mobile customer on prepaid plan, , had appointment purchase iphone 6s , iup today. when time came entered account details , got "you not authorized view account". apple person helping me went talk store manager , said prepaid plans not eligible iup, brought me postpaid plan activation kit t-mobile ($70/month or something) , told me on iup signing-up on spot, or otherwise i'd have pay full price phone. paid full price phone.
if prepaid customers ineligible, information on iup on apple's website misleading @ best, , dishonest @ worst. seems simple scam orchestrated providers more people on postpaid plans.

appears people here prepaid plans managed on iup, may vary store management competency. anyway, great if here clarify type of plans eligible iup.
if victim of confused store manager, still sign iup if t-mobile pre-paid plans eligible. kinda sucks spend $1000 on new gadget , leave store sour mouth...
