ATT store Apple pay, why even bother?


i went at&t store today sign unlimited plan , directv , when got point needed pay told wanted use apple pay. held phone on reader , accepted. says "what 3 digits on of card?". what? why bother apple pay if need card on me? when walked in thought "oh man don't have card, oh accept apple pay, go". went through whole process of setting directv , got end , didn't have way pay....oh well. it's best, don't need directv.

mentioned her, "why bother apple pay if want info off card". said, "it's way our system works.

oh well.
 

perhaps store policy hasn't been updated and/or employee wasn't following policy properly?
